Embedded Project on Fire Fighting Robotic Vehicle

ABSTRACT:

The project is designed to build up a fire fighting robot utilizing RF technology for remote activity. The robotic vehicle is loaded with the water tanker and a pump which is controlled over wireless communication to throw water. An 8051 series of the microcontroller is utilized for the desired operation.

At the transmitting end utilizing push buttons, commands are sent to the beneficiary to control the movement of the robot either to advance, in reverse and left or right and so on. At the less than desirable end three engines are interfaced to the microcontroller where two of them are utilized for the movement of the vehicle and the staying one to position the arm of the robot.

The RF transmitter goes about as a RF remote control that has the benefit of satisfactory range (up to 200 meters) with proper antenna, while the collector decodes before sustaining it to another microcontroller to drive DC motors by means of engine driver IC for essential work.

A water tank alongside water pump is mounted on the robot body and its task is brought out from the microcontroller yield through proper flag from the transmitting end. The entire activity is controlled by a 8051 arrangement microcontroller. An engine driver IC is interfaced to the microcontroller through which the controller drives the engines.

The project can be upgraded by interfacing it with a remote camera so the individual controlling it can see activity of the robot remotely on a screen.
