Embedded Project on Touch Screen Based Remote Controlled Robotic Vehicle for Stores Management

ABSTRACT:

The project is designed to control a robotic vehicle with a touchscreen display unit for remote activity. The touch screen remote control is utilized at the transmitting side to transmit RF control signals. At the less than receiving end, a pick n put robotic vehicle is utilized to react to those signals and perform the task.

An 8051 series the of microcontroller is utilized for the desired operation. At the transmitting end utilizing a touch screen control unit, commands are sent to the receiver to control the movement of the robot either to move forward, backward and left or right etc.

At the receiving end, four motors are interfaced to the microcontroller where two for them are utilized for arm and gripper development of the robot while the other two are for the body development.

The RF transmitter goes about as an RF remote control that has the upside of satisfactory range (up to 200 meters) with a proper antenna, while the receiver decodes before feeding to another microcontroller to drive DC motors by means of motor driver IC for fundamental work.

The primary favorable position of this robot is its soft caching arm that is designed to avoid extra pressure applied to the object.

This project can be improved by interfacing it with a wireless camera so the person controlling it view the operation of the arm and gripper remotely.
